Trucking is a tough job and we know it. Owning your own truck can be even more of a challenge depending on maintenance costs, downtime, fuel and the ability to get profitable loads. At Davis Transfer Company, we do everything we can to ensure your success. We maintain an aggressive fuel surcharge policy that is fully passed along to you as well as 70% of all load revenues. Your business, not unlike our, is to keep you moving on profitable loads. Your success ensures our success.

As an Owner/Operator, you will be assigned a driver manager, no different than our company drivers. You driver manager is responsible for making sure you efficiently get the loads you need. Driver managers also communicate the details of each load to you so that you know exactly what your are doing.

Truck Inspection

As a requirement to becoming an Owner Operator with Davis Transfer Company your truck will need a complete inspection by our maintenance team in Carnesville, GA. As long as your truck meets inspection and the driver meets our requirements and you have the required permits, etc. you are qualified to lease your truck on as an independent contractor.

We are currently hiring in Georgia, South Carolina (85 Corridor), North Carolina (85 Corridor), Florida(Entire State), Eastern Alabama, Pennsylvania and some parts of Tennessee.

Our Traffic Lanes

Our primary traffic lanes are Georgia, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina (Western), South Carolina (Western), Pennsylvania, Ohio, Tennessee and New Jersey. The average length of haul is 500 miles.
